By definition, a blog is a regularly updated website or webpage, typically one run by an individual or a small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style. Essentially, it is a place to express yourself. Given that definition, almost any website, such as Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube can be considered a blog. There are so many different types of blogs, which can help separate them from one another. Some sites are photo blogs, whereas others are video, or editorial pieces. Depending on what you are more interested in, there are various types of blogs for different people. For instance, I prefer BuzzFeed because its an interactive website that provides news, entertainment, and lifestyle articles that are easy yet fun to read. However, on the other hand, there are also websites that are not considered blogs. An example of a non-blog website is any shopping site like Nordstrom. I used Nordstrom as an example because there is hardly any text or conversational style writing. Nordstrom’s site is not run by an individual or small group, It is run by a global corporation made to advertise and sell merchandise online. This being said, not every website can be considered a blog.
